Engagement on its Shopping App
In a move to boost engagement on its shopping app, Amazon has launched a free video streaming service. Dubbed miniTV, the platform is currently available for Android users but will be extend to iOS and mobile web soon.

It is only available in the Amazon India app for now. But will be expand to mobile web and Fire TV soon. The service is design to test whether video can drive sales on the shopping app.
The channel will feature web series. Comedy sketches and content around tech news, food, fashion and beauty “to begin with,” Amazon said. It will also offer content from Indian comedians including Ashish Chanchlani, Amit Bhadana, Round2Hell, Harsh Beniwal, Shruti Arjun Anand, Elvish Yadav and Prajakta Koli.
